The Nasal Cavity and Paranasal Sinuses

Abstract

The evolution of microscopic and endoscopic surgery of the nose was made possible due to the detailed knowledge acquired by anatomists and surgeons on the macro- and microanatomy of this region. Unveiling the complex structure of the middle third of the face has always been a challenge to Prof. Navarro. The contribution of his studies to the many specialties is immeasurable. The presente work comprises information on the main anatomic references of the nose, paranasal sinuses, and related structures, essential for everyone concerned with microendoscopic surgery of the paranasal sinuses. I would like to thank Prof. Navarro once more for his teachings, which have greatly contributed to my own professional development and to that of so many colleagues all over the world.
